Entry 257
When a finger points to the moon, the imbecile looks at the finger.
Chinese proverb
The moon, like a flower
In heaven's high bower
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night.
William Blake
I see the moon,
And the moon sees me;
God bless the moon,
And God bless me.
Unknown
That wandering shrine of soft, yet icy flame,
Which ever is transform'd yet still the same,
And warms, but not illumines.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
You were earth and we
Had a moon---winter scales
On a summer trout.
